This journal is here to document my history with an abusive partner, and the steps I've taken and continue to take that will break the cycle of violence for good. Although my original idea for this journal was to document everything as it happens, so that I have a record of the facts in the event that I ever have to present them in court at a later date, I've determined there is more use for a journal such as this in the world. This journal can be an inspiration for those that are still living with abusive people, mentally ill people who are prone to violence, and in toxic relationships. Perhaps people like that can gain the understandings on the issues that I already have, as well as to see the hope, the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and to learn how to do it, both legally, and psychologically. If you know anyone that is in such a relationship, then please point them this way. The hell that my children and I have gone through may not be as terrible as some others, and it may be far more terrible than some, but where psychological and physical abuse exists, regardless of the severity, we must learn to communicate, help, and support each other to break the cycle of violence, for our children's sake, and for our own sakes.

Because of the sensitive nature of the writings contained herein, all posts will be friends only. I do not welcome defense of abusers, and anyone who attemtps to defend my ex-partner or the partner of any person who is experiencing domestic abuse, psychological abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, or physical abuse will be banned. On a similar note, I do not welcome people who wrongly accuse people of these issues, it is because of the power that a woman holds in a courtroom that many innocent men are condemned. It is my hope that truth will always rise above lies and deceipt in the world, it may be futile, but with every truth spoken we are a step closer to empowerment.

Please join me in my account if these issues are close to you somehow, or if you're just a good person who wants to help stop the cycle of domestic violence, whether it is by hand or by mouth. Come and watch me win my freedom, not only in court, but in my head, my heart, and my soul - where it really counts. You're stepping in at the point where winning is in my grasp, but I'll give as much history as I can first.

At the point where my account is finished I may decide to archive my account and build a community around this issue. This is the construction of my part to save the world, it might not be much, but I owe it to every shoulder I cried on, every ear that listened to me, every hand that held mine, every set of lips that uttered a truth or a confirmation, every social service worker that did their job well, and every one of my children.
